My first design honor was in Mrs. Witherall’s second grade class for best decorated Valentine box, exhibiting a precocious use of paper doilies and construction paper.
I still like to work with paper, only now I am a highly experienced, creative professional known for handling complex projects and challenging clients. I am dedicated (chalk that up to a mid-western work ethic), driven and detail-oriented with experience in many kinds of design from concept to print production including: corporate communications, marketing, direct mail, retail, financial, home fashions, sports marketing, and point-of-purchase. I've enjoyed working in both design firms and corporate in-house settings juggling multiple projects on tight deadlines and tight budgets.
When you come right down to it, I'm a problem solver. I like that great design can clarify information. Communicate. Direct. Impel. Tell a story.
When I’m not at the computer designing, you might find me working on my old house, leading the community effort to list my neighborhood on the National Register of Historic Places, or writing grants (more paper!) for the Richardson History House, a camp meeting cottage museum. You might even find me wearing a funny hat on occasion.
